Northern Ireland 2010 - Site of Injury

In 2010, the 47 persons attending emergency care departments had a total of 51 firework-related injuries. Of which, 43 persons received injuries to only one site on the body, four persons received injuries to two sites, and no persons received injuries to three or more sites. The most common site of injuries from firework-related incidents were to the wrist or hand (41% of all injuries). (See table below.).
